Now this is what Redbirds blogging is for …

… checking on stats, not to inundate the readers with, but to make sure I had the basehits and RBIs and so forth in order, I notice the top of ESPNs MLB Scoreboard page, which almost never features a Cardinals player.

Lo and behold, from left to right, denoting each mug shot with hot bat credtis, were ex-Card Jim Edmonds (two dingers against the Chisox today, in one inning, no less), Troy Glaus (one homer), and Aaron Miles (one home run, his first this season).

You can’t put this type of thing on straight sportswriting reporting, but it is fun to note here. It’s kind of like saying, the Edmonds trade was a mistake, or … maybe it wasn’t. Very debatable.
